URBANITE is an international dance showcase and workshop series that is focused on dancer enrichment versus competition. Founded 1998 in Champaign-Urbana, IL, the experience has grown to 40+ showcases and has landed in 8 U.S. cities and 3 international stops. URBANITE bridges the gap between the worlds of choreography and freestyle dance, street dance and academia, dancer and fan, while connecting people to the culturally-rich dance scene through events with elevated production.
