“Portuguesa” is the sixth album of Carminho’s career and features 14 compositions, several with lyrics and music by herself, among other authors. The composer and performer takes over the production of the album as well as the composition of original traditional fado songs. In a quest to deepen her thinking on fado, Carminho explores various combinations within the canons, rethinking the form and moving like a fish in the water that is her own.
