Tabitha Wakefield, known by her stage name Tabby Wakes, was born and raised in Crown Heights/Hell’s Kitchen . After throwing legendary “Tabby Time” parties as a teen and starting a DIY recording studio, Wakes began to hone in on her talents as a rapper, focusing on original music and collaborating with producers in the underground NY rap scene like Tony Seltzer (Wiki and Princess Nokia). Now 22 years-old, Tabby is freshly signed to Fool’s Gold—the renowned Brooklyn independent label that launched Danny Brown, Kid Cudi and countless others—and recording new music at her own Blahkwork studio in Queens, NY.
