It was started and is run by Amy Westervelt, an award-winning investigative reporter who has written for The Washington Post, The Guardian, ProPublica and more and is based in Costa Rica. Our senior editor is Alleen Brown, an investigative reporter based in New York, with a focus on the intersection between criminal justice and climate; Alleen was most recently a staff reporter at The Intercept.
